Welcome to Hyperspectral.info

What is hyperspectral.info?

Hyperspectral.info is a point to start looking for information on (hyperspectral) remote sensing. This site is intended as a source of processing codes, discussion, links and background documents on the acquisition, processing and interpreting of (hyperspectral) remote sensing data.

Why this site?

Although there is a lot of scattered information on remote sensing on the web, that is unfortunately exactly what it is: Scattered. With this website we hope to provide the means for a one-stop point to find all information you need. We therefore gladly invite contributions, links and articles for this website. The website is currently very much under construction, with first aim to get hyperspectral.info/database online & secure. After that, the rest of the website will start to take shape.

Hyperspectral.info/database ??

This is the home of an online hyperspectral signatures database. The PHP routines that run this database have been developed by Jelle Ferwerda, under auspicious of the Spatial Sciences Institute (SSI) of Australia. The online version is hosted by the Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing (VPAC), and serves as a spectral reference library. Data on the online server is freely accessable, although registration is required, and in some cases data requires prior permission from the copyright holders. The database routines will be made available online as soon as the last bugs have been removed.

Database licence

The database is provided as-is, and its use and/or download occurs under a so-called beerware licence.

Citing the database

If you download data from the database, or the database itself, and require a citation for your publications, please cite our papers on this database:
